Completed a 5 year strategic plan for Interior Lumber Manufacturers' Association in January 2024. Worked with Central Chilcotin Rehabilitation Ltd. board of directors on planning and vision for future in April 2024. Facilitated a contractor engagement meeting for Burns Lake Community Forest in September 2024.
Ongoing facilitation of 7 multi-party roundtables (Quesnel, Williams Lake, Clearwater, Clinton, Lillooet, Similkameen and Shuswap) and their surrounding areas for Fraser Basin Council. Facilitated quarterly meetings of the Thompson-Nicola Regional District FireSmart Committee. Subcontracted to Forsite Consultants Ltd. to complete public engagement for seven community wildfire resiliency plans for Regional District of Fraser Fort George in fall 2024.
Ongoing facilitation and coordination of restoration initiatives in-stream, in forests/uplands, and coordinating use of data, predictive tools across disciplines. Working with City of Merritt to facilitate a steering committee to guide restoration of the Coldwater River near the confluence with Nicola River commencing in spring 2024.
Facilitated a process to develop a comprehensive stewardship plan utilizing Secwepemc values and knowledge to address caribou, old growth and sustainability of the forest sector.
Facilitated a process to update approaches to fisheries related incidental mortality involving representatives of conservation, sport fishing, Indigenous organizations and Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
Facilitated a Community to Community (C2C) forum between the Squamish Lillooet Regional District, District of Lillooet, Lillooet Tribal Council and P’egp’ig’lha Council in September 2024.
Facilitated quarterly working group meetings and an annual meeting of trail stewards, First Nations, provincial government and local government working collaboratively to advance reconciliation and sustainable trails development in the Shuswap.
Supported development of competencies and standards for professionals working in the area of wildfire and updating guidance documents for forest fuel management for a joint working group of BC Wildfire Service and Forest Professionals BC.
Facilitating and supporting government to government protocol development with Indigenous leadership from 6 governments and BC to work towards eventual approval of the forest landscape plan.
Developed policy, protocol and operational documents for a new community forest.
Subcontracted to a fellow forester to assist with silviculture surveys in the Thompson Rivers District.
