Facilitating development of forest landscape plans (FLP) in Williams Lake and 100 Mile House, and continued support to develop government to government protocol development with Indigenous leadership from 6 governments in Quesnel FLP. November 2024 to present.
Revelstoke Stewardship Initiative
Facilitating a process to develop a comprehensive stewardship plan utilizing Secwepemc values and knowledge to address caribou, old growth and sustainability of the forest sector. July 2024 to present.
Wildfire Planning and Coordination
Facilitation of various FireSmart Committees including Thompson-Nicola Regional District, and Similkameen Community Wildfire Roundtable. 2023 to present.
Wildland Fire Joint Panel
Facilitation of the Wildland Fire Joint Panel of Forest Professionals BC and BC Wildfire Service. 2023 to present.
Wildfire and the Forest Industry Dialogue
Working with Simon Fraser University's Morris J Wosk Centre for Dialogue's Mitigating Wildfire Initiative to address challenges around what is needed to build an economically viable wildfire risk reduction industry in BC and scale up efforts. Facilitated dialogues in March 2025 and March.
Nicola Watershed Restoration
Ongoing facilitation and coordination of restoration initiatives in-stream, in forests/uplands, and the built environment across disciplines and sectors. Ongoing work with City of Merritt's STUWI(x) project to facilitate a steering committee to guide restoration of the Coldwater River near the confluence with Nicola River. Supporting coordination of an engineered log jam on Nicola mainstem. 2022 to present.
Updating Approaches to FRIM: Multisectoral Advisory Process
Facilitating a process to update approaches to fisheries related incidental mortality involving representatives of conservation, sport fishing, Indigenous organizations and Fisheries and Oceans Canada. July 2024 to present.
Watershed and Hydrological Assessment
Subcontracting to Madrone Environmental Services Ltd. to review hydrologist assessment and recommendations against BC Timber Sales forest stewardship plans in Cariboo-Chilcotin. October 2024 to present.
Shuswap Trails Roundtable
Facilitate quarterly working group meetings and an annual meeting of trail stewards, First Nations, provincial government and local government working collaboratively to advance reconciliation and sustainable trails development in the Shuswap. 2014 to present.
Silviculture Surveys
Subcontracting to a fellow forester to assist with silviculture surveys in the Interior, aiming for 10-20 field/mental health days. 2017 to present.
